REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Holiday shoppers are taking advantage of the few days leading up to Christmas, to get their hands on holiday gifts.
Director of marketing at Tanger Rehoboth Beach, Michele Doucette, said it’s not uncommon to see so many shoppers, so close to Christmas.
“There’s always a last-minute rush leading up to the big day,” Doucette said. “I think a lot of people keep it as their tradition and they find it a challenge to find the last-minute deals and the last-minute gifts for people on their list.”
Eugene and his wife, Colleen told WMDT, while they do the bulk of their holiday shopping ahead of time, they’ve made it their tradition to make one last trip to the mall before Christmas Day.
“We’re not on a mission, that’s why we can go slowly,” Colleen said. “We’re buying things that we didn’t think we’d get, but we wanted when we saw it. Everybody’s so helpful in the stores and the deals are very good,” Eugene added.
