TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A Topeka shopping area is ready to let the holiday season shine!
The Westboro Mart Plaza Glow flips the switch this Friday. Mary Weaver with Stone and Story Real Estate Group and Jeff Armstrong from Patio, Pool and Fireside visited Eye on NE Kansas to share details about the event.
Mary and Jeff say all the businesses in Westboro Mart get in on the spirit of the night. Most will offer specials, and a few will host activities. Dancers from Ballet Midwest will be on hand, and people can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides through the area.
Children will be able to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the VFW. Attendees may take selfie photos with Santa by making a donation to Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.
Westboro Mart Plaza Glow takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at SW Huntoon & Oakley. This year, Jarrod Guth, from the Capper Foundation, and his son, Maxwell, will press the magic button to turn on the lights at 6 p.m.
