REDDING, Calif. — Looking for a fresh start or a new career path? Shasta County is hosting a Career Fair at the Mt. Shasta Mall in Redding, which they say is a great opportunity to find a new job.
The fair is happening on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Candidates will have a chance to meet with recruiters from county departments, explore open positions and get expert advice on the hiring process.
Talent Outreach Coordinator Alex Gonzales spoke about the benefits of working for the county, saying, “There is a lot of value with retirement, health benefits, we’re happy to have discussions one-on-one with how that could benefit you as an individual.”
“The county is about community, so we are either providing services directly or indirectly to the community, it’s really important for the job value there as well,” Gonzales added. “I think that when you enter into the public sector, there is a lot of exciting opportunities that people don’t really realize are available to them.”
The career fair is free and open to anyone. It’s not necessary to bring a resume.
