An injured hiker was rescued near the Moab Gold Course on Jan. 28, marking Grand County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue’s first official rescue of 2025.
The Grand County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team responded to the incident and worked with Grand County EMS and the Moab Valley Fire Department to rescue the hiker.
According to Grand County EMS, the patient was injured while hiking in the rocks above the golf course but was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The Grand County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Facebook post reads, “We are proud to oversee the public safety for our residents and 2.5 million annual tourists who visit the 3,684 square miles that comprise Grand County, Utah.”
