WATCH: A look at Xavier’s 7 additions via the NCAA’s transfer portal
Xavier has the No. 37 transfer portal class in the country, according to 247Sports.
The start of the 2024-25 college basketball season is just over a month away and you’ll be able to watch the Xavier Musketeers on multiple networks this year.
Xavier announced its times and broadcast coverage for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday.
In total, Xavier will play 18 games on FS1, four on FOX National, three on CBS Sports Network and three on Peacock.
Xavier’s four games on FOX National are all against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. The Musketeers will be on national television for both contests against Marquette and home matchups against reigning champion UConn and Creighton.
The Big East’s current deal with Fox Sports will expire after this season and the new six-year agreement will begin during the 2025-26 season with coverage on Fox Sports, NBC Sports and TNT Sports.
Though the deal won’t begin until after this academic year, Peacock will begin its Big East basketball coverage this season with a 25-game package that includes three Xavier games.
Just two days before Xavier’s exhibition contest against the Dayton Flyers, fans will have a chance to get a first glance at the men’s and women’s teams during Musketeer Madness, which is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18 at Cintas Center.
The event is presented by Heartland Bank and is free and open to the public. There is a fan fest on the plaza outside the Cintas Center main entrance at 5 p.m. and doors will open at 6 p.m. After introductions for both teams, the women’s squad will scrimmage at 7 p.m. and the men will scrimmage at 7:45 p.m.
Big East Media Day will be held at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York on Wednesday, Oct. 23 for both men’s and women’s basketball. Follow The Enquirer’s coverage of media day as Sean Miller and Billi Chambers each speak about their teams and the Big East releases its preseason polls.
The annual Musketeer Club season preview show is Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport, Kentucky. Xavier Hall of Famers Byron Larkin and Andy MacWilliams will preview the 2024-25 Musketeers.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the analysis of this year’s squad will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $12 for Musketeer Club Members and $15 for non-members. Attendance is limited to the first 100 reservations and no reservations will be accepted after Oct. 19.
