Plenty of people watch and study the Masters Tournament and its culture for fun. Now, one of those die-hard fans, or patrons as it may be, could get paid for their love and knowledge.
The Augusta National Golf Club is hiring a historian who will also serve as a curator and archivist. According to the job posting online, this person will be responsible for managing, preserving and enhancing the past, present and future physical and intellectual history of the club. They will also reinforce the club’s stance as a significant contributor to the history of golf.
It’s an Augusta-based job. Here are some of the other duties involved with this position:

An ideal candidate is one with 8-10 years experience working in heritage management or related field and has a bachelor’s degree within a liberal arts curriculum including, but not limited to, archival studies, history, library sciences or related fields of study. A masters in archival science and ACA certification also help but are not mandatory.
Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday and the historian must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
While no pay is specified in the job posting, it is listed as a senior management position.
