WICHITA, Kan. – The Pittsburg State University men’s golf team finished the first day one of the Newman Invitational in sixth Monday (Oct. 14) at the Terradyne Country Club.
The Gorillas posted an opening round of +16, led by sophomore Keaton Thissen (Davenport, Iowa) with a +2 score placing him in a tie for 12th among 51 competitors. Junior, Theo Juhl (Garden City, Kan.) was second on the team with a +4 and finished the day in 22nd while junior Mason White (Rowlett, Texas) and Tyler Hardtarfer (Goddard, Kan.) finished tied for 23rd with a +5 score.
