Skidmore Fall Invitational
Saratoga Spa State Park G.C. (Par 72 – 7,145 yards)
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. | The first round of the two-day Skidmore Fall Invitational on Saturday was not fully completed, as a handful of golfers – including one from Farmingdale State College – were unable to finish their 18-hole rounds due to darkness. The remainder of round one, in addition to all of Sunday’s round two, will kick off in a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Presently, FSC sits in sixth place out of 21 teams at a combined plus-20, as sophomore CJ Merritt (Plainview, N.Y.) has to complete his 18th and final hole on Sunday morning. The two-time Skyline Conference Golfer of the Year is in fourth place, having shot plus-1 before darkness ended play on Saturday.
Sophomore Padruig Douglas (Northport, N.Y.) finished Saturday’s round with a plus-5 score of 77, while seniors Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) and Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) each carded rounds of 79 (plus-7).
