Most golfers underestimate how important an adequately fitted golf shaft will improve their scores. Think of the golf shaft as the transmission on your car. It transfers the torque of your engine to the drive train.
The same applies to your golf shaft, which transfers energy from your body through the shaft to the clubhead and must fit the golfer’s power source.
There are thousands of shaft combinations, not just flex, as you might find on the internet or in a box store; these include torque, weight, and flex point. The shaft should be frequency-matched and properly splined to prevent wobble when in motion.
I have been fitting golfers for over fifty years, and modern technology has improved beyond imagination! So why not take advantage of the new techniques and play better golf? You will enjoy this great game of golf even more.
