ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland Men’s Golf team will return to their home course this weekend to host the Golden Grizzlies Invitational.
The inaugural event will feature 14 teams in the field, playing 54 holes over the two-day tournament. Day one will consist of 36 holes of stroke play, followed by a final 18 on day two. The Katke Course will be set up for a par 72 and 7,273 yards.
There will be 14 teams competing at the 2024 Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate, including – Cleveland State, Wright State, Purdue Fort Wayne, Ohio University, Bowling Green, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, IU Indianapolis, Detroit Mercy, Central Michigan, Butler, DePaul, Green Bay, and Trine.
Head Coach Nick Pumford returns Robert Burns, who earned a spot on the All-League Second Team, Luke Kelly, Ellis Kinnaird, Matteo Rocco, Edward Rowe, Bhavneet Sohal, and Ben Willis. Adding to the roster is Peter Roehl II, Brennan Sullivan, and Jack Zubkus.
