VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team continues its fall season by competing at the USF/Howard Intercollegiate, which takes pace from Monday through Tuesday at Manor Country Club in Rockville, Md.
This is the first time that Binghamton will be playing in this event, which is co-hosted by Howard University and the University of San Francisco. Also competing at this year’s event are Alabama State, Florida A&M, George Mason, Georgetown, George Washington, Loyola Maryland, Prairie View A&M, Princeton and Towson.
The Bearcats are coming off their first competition of the season at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial the prior weekend. While the team finished tied for ninth, Tynan Jones secured the second top 20 finish of his collegiate career. The senior tied for 19th with a score of 75-71 = 146/2-over par. His 71/1-under par is tied for the lowest score over 18 holes in his career. Jones finished the tournament with 10 birdies and 15 pars.
Both days of the competition will begin at 8 a.m. 54 holes will be played over the course of the event.
