JACKSON, Mich. – On Wednesday, the Albion College men’s and women’s golf teams were back in action on their home course, hosting the Cascades Clash.
The men’s A team finished third with a team total of 303. Sophomore Blake Wagner with a team-low of 73. Two strokes behind Wagner was Ryan Knitter who shot a 75. Camden Paul was just behind with a 76, as two freshmen rounded out the squad in Bradley Davis (79) and Nicholas Giannone (82).
As a team, the men’s B squad shot a 331, led by a 78 from freshman Matt Sypniewski, while Dom Orlando’s 79 was next. Alex Olmsted shot an 84 and Vaughn Rogers carded a 90.
On the women’s side, the team took fifth with a total score of 362. Miranda McKee’s 89 paced the Britons, with Gabriella Davis next (90). Aubrie Schaibly and Taylore Wilson were next, shooting a 91 and 92, respectively. Zoe Autore’s 98 finished up the team scoring.
Marissa Genske (92) and Riley McKinney (100) competed as individuals for the Brits.
This weekend, the women’s team will play at the Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament, hosted by Olivet. On Tuesday, the men’s team competes in their first MIAA Jamboree, hosted by Alma College.
