The George Mason University golf team will return to action and close out its fall season by traveling to Paradise Island, Bahamas, to participate in the White Sands Collegiate. The three-day tournament, scheduled for October 25-27, will follow a three-round format featuring teams from 12 schools. 
 
The event will take place at the par-72, 6,943-yard Ocean Club Golf Course. Golfers will play 18 holes on Friday, 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday, all shotgun starts beginning at 8 a.m.

Mason Notes

• Freshman Vaughn McMeans led the Patriots with a sixth-place finish among the 60 golfers at the Georgetown Invitational (Oct. 14-15). He scored an eagle and three birdies in the final round to finish with a one-over-par final round at the par 71, 6-950-yard course.
• George Mason golf team placed second at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational held at Mystic Rock Golf Course (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), posting a 14-over-par three-round team score. The last time the Patriots earned runner-up honors was last season at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, VA on March 26, 2024.
• Junior Logan Paczewski finished T4 overall at the Nemacolin Collegiate, posting even-par, one-over and two-under par rounds.
• Samir Davidov and JJ Powell have finished in the top-25 in all three tournaments.

 
Participating Teams
Joining the Patriots are host West Virginia, Houston, College of Charleston, Rutgers, Maryland, Northern Illinois, UC San Diego, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, Ohio University and Emory.
