The game of golf is always changing, and for once it looks like the senior citizens are leading the charge.
Despite being eligible for many a senior discount, one brave 62-year-old man and his compatriots have discovered a new digital-first way to announce their golf outfits of the day. All you need is a little spare time, some video-editing knowledge and the ability to wear the hell out of a pair of slacks.
“How my dad (62) and his friends show each other their golf fits,” Juliana Raynor posted on Twitter. “Told my dad how many views this has and he’s been giggling and kicking his feet in the air ever since.”
We’re currently at over 16 million views and counting, which makes sense because this ingenious Spongebob-centric edit is as “boys being boys” as it gets. Making a special clip for the fellas of you rocking a vest and a visor is representative of a beautiful bond that only grows on the course. Many social media users are coming away impressed with one saying, “From now on, I’ll be doing fit checks like that” and another exclaiming, “I cannot stress this enough: dudes ROCK.”
This goes to show that you can always adapt to the times, and even improve upon them, if you have creativity and a group of dudes to bounce ideas off of. No matter our ages, we all enjoy showing off our fits on the course, and these old war horses even discovered a new way to drop that drip. That’s what golf is all about.
