The Golden State Warriors secured a much-needed win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The game came down to the dying moments, with Steve Kerr’s team coming up big in the clutch to secure a 116-115 win over a conference rival. Stephen Curry led the scoring for Golden State with 31 points to go with his eight assists. He shot 58.3% from 3-point range on 7-of-12 shooting and went 47.6% from the field.
Golden State’s clutch win helped them climb back into the race for a play-in tournament spot. They currently reside 10th in the Western Conference, with plenty of time to attempt to secure the 6th seed or higher. Still, the win over Minnesota will likely have provided a confidence boost for the entire rotation.
Shortly after Golden State’s clutch win, its social media team posted highlights of the fourth quarter to the Warriors‘ YouTube channel. The 1:25 clip is designed to allow fans to relive the excitement and intensity of the moment.
