Around 150 partners and leaders from KPMG will later this month travel to Qatar to attend the firm’s annual MESAC Partners Conference.
The MESAC Partners Conference is the firm’s top leadership meeting for partners in the Middle East, South Asia, Caucasus and Central Asia (MESAC) region, which spans 21 countries and territories, covering over 30 office locations and is home to more than 11,000 people. The meeting is held once every year, towards the end of its financial year.
At the meeting, KPMG’s leaders come together to discuss company performance, key strategies for the firm going forward, as well as investments and other topics that require top-level alignment. According to KPMG, roughly 40% of all its partners in the MESAC region (over 350) will be present in Doha.
Under the theme ‘Living Our Values, Embracing Change’, the conference will spotlight major thematic areas such as leadership, advancements in artificial intelligence, the future of taxation, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth – all critical to driving the success of businesses in the MESAC region.
The MESAC Partners Conference further provides regional MESAC leaders to align with KPMG’s global leaders, with many global, regional and country leaders from KPMG’s wider international network – including Global Chairman Bill Thomas – in attendance to ensure strategic alignment and forge cross-border plans.
With KPMG celebrating its 45th anniversary in Qatar this year, the organisation of the event has been symbolically handed to the Qatari member firm.
Ahmed Abu Sharkh, the Country Senior Partner of KPMG in Qatar, commented: “For 45 years, KPMG in Qatar has proudly served as a trusted advisor to the country’s leading businesses, and government bodies & institutions. Hosting the MESAC Partners Conference during this milestone year is a fitting tribute to our ongoing mission of helping Qatar achieve its ambitions, while also preparing for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.”
Globally, KPMG has more than 273,000 partners and employees in 140+ countries.
