The Braves are clearly looking like the No. 2 team in the region to start after hanging tough with the Cardinals before defeating a good Moreau Catholic team in the third-place game.

Montgomery, Maria Carrillo, Healdsburg and Sonoma Valley stay put this week after mostly solid showings last week.
The Vikings dropped a game to a very quality Marin Catholic team last week. Healdsburg placed fourth in a tournament at Kelseyville and will face the Wildcats in a nonleague meeting this week.
Maria Carrillo picked up two wins in its Jeff Paul Invitational showcase, including over then-No. 7 Analy. The Tigers went 0-3 in the showcase and dropped from the rankings this week.
Rancho Cotate is the newcomer this week after picking up three blowout wins last week over Hayward, Berkeley and Las Lomas.
All of the ranked teams will be in action in tournaments this weekend.
