CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – The parking lot of West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau was certainly full on Sunday, just a few days before Christmas.
Some last-minute shoppers went to the mall to check off their Christmas list, some went to get gifts wrapped, and some came for both.
Noah Hutson, the assistant manager at Pro Image Sports in the West Park Mall, shared how chaotic it has been days before the holidays.
“It’s been chaotic all weekend,” said Hutson. “Last-minute Christmas shoppers trying to get that last gift in, it’s been super crazy recently. Last year was kind of tame, but we’re in the last few weeks of the football season. people are getting for Christmas and the NFL playoffs.”
We also caught up with customers about last minute shopping.
“There’s a ton of people everywhere. Just picking up some last minute gifts to help fill the gift bag, make it a little more full,” said Karlie Machiran.
“I usually am always last minute. This year I’m actually ahead of time. I’m usually Christmas Eve shopping. My dad always did that, so I guess I learn from him. It can get a little hairy at times, but I always tend to get it done,” said Liz Riley.
