Jackson, a 2017 NFL Draft first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans, spent his first four NFL seasons in Nashville before moving on to Gotham, where he’s played for the Giants since 2021.
He wasn’t a great fit in Wink Martindale’s scheme last season, but could bode better with new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who was the Titans’ outside linebackers coach during Jackson’s time with Tennessee.
The cornerback had 63 tackles, eight passes defensed and one interception, which he returned for a 76-yard touchdown, in 2023. For his career, he’s played in 83 games, with 77 starts — including 14 last season — and has tallied 376 tackles, four interceptions, five forced fumbles and 56 pass breakups.
The 28-year-old could jump right back into a starting role, provided he’s ramped up for the season, with rookie Andru Phillips, Deonte Banks and Cordale Flott the likely cornerback starters before his addition.
