Georgia football spent time this past week preparing for both of its possible College Football Playoff quarterfinal opponents.
Now Notre Dame will have its undivided attention.
The No. 7 seeded Fighting Irish handled No. 10 Indiana 27-17 Friday night in a CFP first-round game in South Bend, Ind. That set up a matchup with the No. 2 Bulldogs Jan. 1 in the Sugar Bowl in a quarterfinal matchup at 8:45 p.m. in New Orleans.
“Our offensive and defensive staff and special teams had to break down both teams, not to mention dealing with the (transfer) portal and portal visitors and guys going in the portal and guys coming out of the portal,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said on ESPN’s College GameDay earlier Friday.
