The GCC Under-15 Basketball Championship will get underway at the Qatar University (QU) Hall on Thursday.
The tournament is being held from August 15th to 19th, with the participation of six teams.
In the opening match, Saudi Arabia will meet their United Arab Emirates counterpart, and in the second, Bahrain will play Oman.
The Qatari team will start their matches on Friday against Oman. On the same day, Kuwait will play against the UAE. The participating teams are divided into two groups.
The first group comprises Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, while the second group includes Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) has completed preparations to host the tournament.
For its part, the technical staff of the Qatari national team completed their preparations and announced the list of players who will participate in the tournament, namely: Muhanna Khalid, Ibrahim al-Mufti, Jassim al-Qahtani, Hamad al-Langawi, Abdulaziz al-Qahtani, Majed al-Mansour, Mohamed al-Badi, Ahmed Yassin, Mohamed al-Qahtani, Mishaal al-Mughni, Sultan Abdullah, Mohamed al-Khuzaei, Azzam Yakan, and Saud al-Mughaiseeb.
