BOYS
Class AA
• Helena Capital 57, No. 1 Helena High 53: The Bruins (7-6, 6-2) took down the top-ranked team in Class AA rankings this week and ended a five-game losing skid to their crosstown rival in one fell swoop. Brenton Belzer sparked Capital with 13 second-half points on his way to 15 total. Freshman Landon Levang also got hot in the second half, finishing tied for the game-high with 16 points. Trailing by eight at the half, the Bruins scored 25 in the third quarter to grab the lead, then got up by as many as eight before salting it away in the final minutes. Conor Toivonen helped with that, scoring 14 points. Jaxan Lieberg led Helena High with 16. Tevin Wetzel wound up with 15 for the Bengals (9-3, 5-2). Capital also took over sole possession of first place in the Western AA.

• Billings Senior 61, Great Falls 38: Zy Zilkoski’s 22 points led the Broncs to their sixth conference win (8-6 overall) as they rolled past the winless Bison. Brody Allen tallied 12 points and Davyn Lehfeldt provided nine. No stats were reported for Great Falls.
Class A
• No. 5 Billings Central 64, Laurel 36: The Rams used stellar play on both ends of the floor to score their 10th win of the season in convincing fashion over Eastern A rival Laurel. The Locomotives were held to 10 points or fewer in each stanza, while the Rams scored at least 13 points in all four quarters, including 37 in the first half. Toby Stewart and Darcy Merchant sparked Central with 16 points each. Preston Poser was the top scorer for Laurel with 10.
• Ronan 57, Libby 28: The Chiefs flew out of the gates and built a 14-point lead early. They controlled things the rest of the way in a 29-point win. There were 10 Ronan players who found their way into the scorebook and none of them reached double figures. Chad Higgins led the way with eight points. Ryan Beagle paced Libby with seven.
Class B
• No. 8 Malta 84, No. 6 Glasgow 63: In a showdown on the Hi-Line, the Mustangs exploded to a 31-15 lead in the first quarter and held the Scotties in check the rest of the way. Stockton Oxarart had a stellar game with 24 points and four more players hit double figures — Dawson Hamilton (17), Treyton Wilke (14), Bohdi Brendan (11) and Mason Simanton (10). It was the Mustangs’ seventh conference win against a single loss (13-3 overall). Glasgow lost its first conference game (7-1) and slipped to 12-4 overall.
• Townsend 62, Lone Peak 51: Trenton Hoveland was one of three Bulldogs to score in double figures in an 11-point win over Lone Peak on Saturday. Hoveland finished with 17. He was joined by Deegan Mattson (14) and Tavyn Anderson (12). Isaac Bedway was the high scorer in the game, pouring in 20 points for Lone Peak in an effort that proved futile.
• No. 4 Three Forks 73, Whitehall 34: The Wolves were nearly on pace for 100 points at the half, scoring 49 in the first two quarters of a 29-point win over Whitehall. Fourth-ranked Three Forks had 12 different players who scored in the win. Dylan Swenson was the high scorer with 14 points. Aaron DeFance added 10, while Wyt Oliver finished with seven. Trent Larson scored a game-high 11 points in the loss.
• Shepherd 59, Big Timber 48: The Mustangs led by five points at the half then outscored Big Timber by eight points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the double-digit win. Billy Hugs scored a game-high 21 points for Shepherd, while Nate Reynolds added 15. Brayden Cook also managed 10. Zach Cowell led Big Timer in defeat with 16 points. Sawyer Durfee pitched in with 10.
Class C
• No. 8 Cascade 69, Valier 49: The Badgers pushed their conference win streak to 10 straight, building a 41-17 halftime lead. Kaden Jorgensen (15 points) and Lane Ethridge (14 points) led the way. Josh Creveling and Peyton Hauk added nine points apiece. Chance Horn had a monster game for the Panthers with 24 points. Bryson Connelly drained 18.
• Hobson-Moore 75, Great Falls Central 62: In a bit of a shootout, the Titans earned their second conference win (2-14 overall), with four players reaching double figures. It was TJ Hickey (18), Isaac Mauws (17), Gage Mikkelson (14) and Landon Nicholls (10). Jordan Flansburg led all scorers with 24 points for the Mustangs. Caleb Diekhans poured in 18 points and Carter Warren 14.
• No. 3 Manhattan Christian 78, Shields Valley 31: Ten players reached the scoring column for the Eagles in their lopsided conference win, their eighth in a row. Christian Triemstra drained 15 points, Cavan Visser hit for 14 and Isaac Hoekema 13. Jack Scott added eight points. Tanner Whiting scored 11 points and Wyatt Dunkel nine to lead the Rebels (5-5, 7-8).
• Turner 59, Fort Benton 47: The Turner Tornadoes scored at least 13 points in all four stanzas to notch a 12-point win over District 9C rival Fort Benton. The Tornadoes grabbed an 11 points lead at the half and never looked back thanks in part to 18 points from Carson Maloney. Ty Beck and Tate Beck each scored 14 in the win. Eli Arganbright paced the Longhorns with 17. Kelto Vielleaux finished with 13.
• Terry 47, Ekalaka 44: Thanks to a 15-point fourth quarter, the Terriers were able to knock off the Bulldogs by a three-point margin on Saturday. Eight different players scored for Terry but Luke Holden scored a game-high with 13 points, a total matched by Roger Beach of Ekalaka. The Terriers also got 12 from Landon Schilling in the win.
• No. 6 Lustre Christian 61, No. 5 Circle 49: In a matchup of ranked teams, the Lions set the one in the opening quarter, building a 20-7 lead they would maintain throughout. Johnslee Pierre took control for the Lions with 23 points. Prestyn Klatt pitched in with eight points. Clay Redding and Bryon Ewing each added eight. The Wildcats got 16 points in the loss from Duke Williamson. Kash Ereaux had 10 and Connor Guldorg finished with nine for Circle.
• West Yellowstone 68, Philipsburg 38: Noa Flores scored 23 points for the Wolverines, who also got 14 from Austin Hales, 11 from Damian Ramales and 10 from Abrams Clark in a convincing win over the Prospectors, who fell behind 25-4 after the first quarter. Both teams scored in double figures in each of the final three stanzas, but the 21-point lead after eight minutes was too much for the Prospectors to overcome.
• Bainville 62, Froid-Lake 43: With a 19-point first quarter, the Bulldogs grabbed a nine-point lead over Froid-Loid after the first quarter which turned into 16 points by halftime in what ended up as a 19-point win. Parker Berwick caught fire for Bainville, scoring 21 points in the win. Reed Winn contributed with 13; Kaiden Holmes had 11. Carson Kelm was one of two Redhawks to reach double figures, scoring 18 points. His teammate Cody Olson was the other with 13.
• Melstone 57, Custer-Hysham 43: There were dueling 20-point scorers in this Class C affair as Nolan Kamerman scored a game-high 25 points for Melstone, besting the Rebels and their high scorer Wyatt Kirby, who wound up with 20. Layne Duncan added 15 in the loss, while Tucker Keller pitched in with 17 for the victorious Broncs.
• Poplar 50, Fairview 46: It took overtime to decide a winner between the Indians and Warriors, but the Indians eventually got the best of the Warriors after rallying from down five points to force some extra basketball. Kaniel Ricker led Poplar with 20 points. Walker Burshia added 15. Tyler Loan was the top scorer for Fairview with 18. Tory Karst managed 12.
• Roberts 61, Plenty Coups 59: In a back-and-forth affair the Rockets rallied from a three-point halftime deficit to knock off the Indians on the road Saturday. Gus Kosel made nine field goals and scored a team-high 20 points for Roberts. Thommy Howard added 18 and Nate Weber amassed 13 thanks to three 3-pointers. Uriah Pisano led the Indians with 20 points. Darrell Good Luck managed 15.
• Drummond 59, Alberton 32: Javier Ostler provided a spark for the Trojans who cruised to a conference win over Alberton by 27 points. Ostler poured in a game-high 20 points. Teammate Michael James added 14 in the win. Shea Fredette led the Panthers with 10.
• Noxon 70, Seeley-Swan 68: The Red Devils had to score 21 points in the fourth quarter on Saturday against Seeley-Swan which scored 26 in the final stanza, in order to hang on for a two-point win. Shane Hatchel led all five scorers for Noxon with 17. Shane Murray added 16, Justice Kayser scored 15 and Ricky Williams had 13. Cameron Blair also scored nine. Blake Irwin poured in 26 for the Blackhawks. Derrick Brovold finished with 15.
• Brockton 64, Culbertson 55: Breaking open a tie game at the half, Brockton outscored Culbertson by nine points in the second half to earn a positive result. Jarid Fasthorse Jr. led the Warriors and all scorers in the game with 20 points, an effort that included five 3-pointers. Tefton Bear and Josh Firemoon also played key roles in the win with 15 and 14 points respectively. Gavin Deen (11), Mark Kirkaldie (11), and Brooks Solem (10) all scored in double figures for the Cowboys.
• Savage 59, Richey-Lambert 28: Talk about stingy defense, the Savage Warriors held Richey-Lambert scoreless in the second quarter on Saturday. Savage allowed their opponent just 28 points total in a 31-point win. Hunter Sanders did most of the heavy lifting on the other end of the floor with a game-high 24 points. Sayer Erickson also reached double figures with 11. Curtis Martin was the top scorer for the Fusion with 12. Tanner Goosen was credited with seven.
GIRLS
Class AA
• No. 2 Billings West 68, Great Falls CMR 28: Reagan Soucy went for 17 points, leading five players in double figures for the Golden Bears. Grace Curnow, Macy Criswell, Maisie Heggem-Prinkki and Brooklyn Pierce each delivered 11 points. No stats were reported for CMR.
• Billings Skyview 49, Bozeman 42: The Falcons trailed by seven at halftime, then reeled off a 21-5 run in the third frame to take the lead, and held off the Hawks down the stretch. Taryn Salveson went for 15 points, including seven-of-seven at the free throw line. Rae Smart dropped 11 points to go with 12 rebounds and four assists. Kiki Lonebear grabbed eight boards, dished five assists and netted 10 points. Lexie Cotton led the Hawks with 14 points. Nula Anderson and Rose O’Brien produced eight points apiece.
• Billings Senior 45, Great Falls 37: The Broncs snapped a three-game losing streak and collected their third conference win, downing the Bison in a game that was close all the way. Octavia Meyer (13 points) and Viennah Meyer (12 points) did the heavy lifting for Senior, with Eva Blatchford chipping in seven points. No stats were reported for Great Falls.
Class A
• Bigfork 75, Columbia Falls 49: Braeden Gunlock was unstoppable, draining 36 points as the Valkyries won their eighth straight conference game (12-2 overall). Paeten Gunlock netted 16 points and Keni Wade 14. No stats were reported for Columbia Falls (4-4, 6-8).
• Hardin 75, Livingston 30: Kevee Rogers and Karis Brightwings-Pease were a force, dropping 19 points apiece, and Zaylee Good Luck rang up 13 for the Bulldogs (6-2, 12-4). Savaya Alden provided 11 points.
• Browning 60, Polson 39: The Indians improved to 4-2 in conference play and 6-6 overall, using a blistering 25-9 run after halftime to take control of the game. Amani Yellow Owl scored 14 points, Teslin Trombley 12 and Shaylee Heavy Runner 11. Josephine Michael contributed eight points. Alyeisa Black (14 points) and Rylee Taylor-Jefferson (10 points) paced the Pirates (3-5, 5-9).
Class B
• No. 9 Missoula Loyola 75, Anaconda 24: Spencer Laird ran the show, dropping 26 points, and Emme Laird netted 16 for the Breakers as they rolled past the Copperheads to go 6-1 in conference play and 12-3 overall. Meela Mitchell scored seven points to lead Anaconda (3-4, 9-7).
• No. 3 Florence-Carlton 71, Arlee 12: Ten players made the scoring column for the Falcons (6-0, 14-1) in their blowout of the Maidens. At the top was Ali Meinhold with 12 points, followed by Taylor Pyette and Madigan Hurlbert with 11 apiece, and Kenzy Pickering with 10.
• No. 8 Baker 77, Lodge Grass 50: Madison O’Connor poured in 28 points, and the Spartans picked up their seventh conference win against a single loss (13-3 overall), charging to a 27-9 lead in the opening quarter and keeping the Indians at arm’s length the rest of the way. Avery O’Connor netted 15 points and Hope Gonsioroski 12. Autumn White shot the lights out for the Indians with 23 points. Tailee Bird contributed nine.
• No. 10 Malta 79, Glasgow 29: The surging M-ettes won their seventh straight to go 8-0 in conference play and 12-4 overall. Denvyr Tuss took care of business with 17 points, and Neva Jacobson and Emree Stuart produced 13 points apiece. Ten players in all reached the scoring column. Joely Chappell drained 10 points to lead the Scotties (2-6, 8-8).
• Big Timber 44, Shepherd 38 (OT): In a major 4B battle, the Herders escaped with their eighth conference win against two losses (12-4 overall), giving the Fillies their first conference loss of the year. Laney Ketcham came up big with 21 points and Tori Beck drained 15. Breelyn Fulton paced the Fillies with 12 points and Lexie Dennison went for nine.
• No. 7 Chinook 82, Cut Bank 28: The Sugarbeeters (9-2, 13-3) scored 21 points in the first and second quarters while holding the Wolves to just 13 points. Neva Lowe poured in 22 points and Alexus Seymour hit for 16. Brooke Fetter and Hannah Schoen dropped 10 points apiece. Rylie Fritz had 10 points for Cut Bank (2-8, 4-13).
• Superior 70, Troy 36: Behind the one-two punch of Braelynn Mangold (23 points) and Perri Jasper (21), the Bobcats evened their conference mark at 3-3 (6-8 overall), building a 34-15 first-half lead. Cami Quick added eight points. Aspen Orr and Kylie Cole paced the Trojans with 14 and 10 points.
• Shelby 67, Rocky Boy 50: The Coyotes (6-4, 10-6) went on a roll after halftime, outscoring the Stars 26-12 in the third quarter. Adele Lamb hit three treys and finished with 20 points. Addison Richman canned four threes and tallied 13 points. Hadley Clary drained 11 points and Preslee Flesch 10. Rocky Boy’s Kalelee Henderson hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with 17 points. Amiya Four drained 11 points.
Class C
• No. 1 Saco-Whitewater-Hinsdale 39, Scobey 32: It was another grind-it-out victory for the reigning C champs, who trailed 22-20 going into the final quarter, then launched a 19-10 run to close out a determined group of Spartans. Shelbi LaBrie and CharLee McColly scored nine points apiece for the Mavericks (10-0, 16-0). Kennadi Cromwell and Kayla Carney tallied seven points apiece for Scobey (6-4, 10-6).
• No. 9 Lincoln 72, St. Regis 26: Krymzen Dempster drained 22 points, and the Lynx blitzed the Tigers for their 10th conference win against a single loss (14-2 overall). Makena Copenhaver delivered 16 points and Remi Dietz 13. Jamie Cleveland scored 13 points for the Tigers (3-8, 6-9).
• No. 5 Plenty Coups 91, Roberts 65: Brynecia Hugs ran wild, pouring in 43 points, and the undefeated Warriors captured their fifth straight conference win (14-0 overall). Shaylei F.D. dropped 16 points and Kloe C added 12. TJ Chirrick shot the lights out with 26 points for the Rockets (1-4, 3-12). Taylor MacArthur netted 16 points.
• No. 6 Terry 59, Ekalaka 42: In a 4C match, the Terriers won their eighth straight conference game, grabbing a 17-3 lead in the first quarter and going up 33-8 at intermission. Kiera Chaska produced 21 points and Ashley Eaton hit for 18. The Bulldogs (6-2, 10-6) were led by Nasya O’Connor and Kendra Tooke with 16 and 15 points respectively.
• No. 7 Chester-Joplin-Inverness 68, Box Elder 29: The Hawks built a 39-15 first half lead and cruised to their eighth conference win against three losses (13-3 overall). Brie Mattson came through with 21 points. Brynn Kammerzell drained 15 and Jayla Ramberg 11. Martay Stiffarm-Rosette led the Bears with 11 points, and Kise Seaton contributed eight.
• Roy-Winifred 42, Belt 39: In a wild game, the Red Raiders led 23-11 at halftime, after which the Huskies erupted on a 21-11 run to pull within a bucket going into the final quarter. A slugfest ensued down the stretch, with the Red Raiders pulling it out. Lyla Ewen rang up 12 points, Hannah Ewen hit for 11 and Isabella Edwards (9 points) and Claire Wickens (8 points) were in support.
• Shields Valley 51, Manhattan Christian 44: Nicki Swandal canned 14 points, Gaige Taylor knocked down 13 and Amanda Willis 10 for the Rebels (7-2, 11-4), who prevailed in a back-and-forth contest with the Eagles (4-2, 9-5). Bella Triemstra lit it up for Manhattan Christian with 26 points.
• Circle 66, Lustre Christian 25: Madeline Moline and Charlie Moline powered the Wildcats with 16 points apiece, and Emma Murphy drained 11. Circle improved to 8-2 in conference play and 12-4 overall. Lauryn Holzrichter led the Lions with eight points. Samantha Neufeld had seven.
• Plevna 54, Wibaux 24: The Cougars snapped a three-game skid, racing to a 25-7 lead in the first quarter and going on to post their third conference win. Keely Heaton and Brylee Swarts did the heavy lifting with 18 and 17 points respectively. Grace Begger netted seven points for the Longhorns.
• Broadview-Lavina 38, Harlowton-Ryegate-Judith Gap 33: LouAnn Peters netted 10 points for the Pirates, who overcame a five-point deficit in the final quarter with a 13-2 rally to earn their fourth conference win (10-5 overall). Lily Fiske added seven points and Ava Mallo six.
• Fort Benton 44, Turner 37: Lilly Ferris rang up 14 points and Ang Riener 11 for the Longhorns (8-2, 11-4). Bridget Reed paced the Tornadoes (4-6, 6-10) with 11 points. Meridian Snider contributed nine points.
• Great Falls Homeschool 56, Cascade 36: Avery Reima led with 13 points, Acacia Vosen hit for 10 and Zoe Gliko and Emily Engel pitched in with eight points apiece for GFH. Sophia Mortag led the Badgers with 13 points and Maisie Hastings provided 10.
• Drummond 50, Alberton 7: Kimber Parsons delivered 19 points and Charlee Cline went for 12, with Casey James supplying eight points.
• No. 2 Melstone 74, Custer-Hysham 32: The Broncs extended their unbeaten streak to 15-0 (7-0 in conference play) with a takedown of the Rebels. Maggie and Avery Eikie delivered 17 points apiece and Savannah DeJaegher tallied 13 points. Emma Myhre chipped in with nine points. Olivia Yochum scored 11 points for the Rebels. Teagen Ruff supplied eight.
• No. 3 Bainville 38, Froid-Lake 29: The unbeaten Bulldogs built a 25-10 first-half lead and went on to notch their 11th straight conference win (15-0 overall). Hailey Berwick scored 13 points. Brooklyn Nordwick drained 10 points for the Redhawks (4-7, 5-10).
• Frazer 49, Dodson 31: The Bearcubs scored 32 points in the first half while limiting the Coyotes to just nine points, and earned their sixth conference win (8-8 overall). Bailey Beston (14 points) and Audrey Smoker (13 points) did the heavy lifting. Jazzlyn KillEagle and Precious Stiffarm drained 11 points apiece for the Coyotes (1-10, 2-14).
• Winnett-Grass Range 48, Centerville 43: In a wire-to-wire thriller, the Rams emerged on top, evening their conference mark at 5-5 (10-6 overall). Zurry Moore scored 12 points, Shaylie Ahlgren 10 and Gracie Lang nine. Aliyah Lopez added eight points. Livy Lorang scored 16 points for the Miners to lead all scorers.
• West Yellowstone 47, Philipsburg 30: Ari Spence dropped 16 points and Tiara Norris 11 for the Wolverines (5-2, 11-5). Montannah Piar had a game-high 17 points for the Prospectors (3-4, 4-8).
