Cue the holly jolly, roll out the ribbons and hang your stockings with care. The holiday season has arrived! The Geneva Chamber of Commerce Christmas Walk and Holiday House Tour weekend kicked off the season in Geneva with festive cheer. And just like Saint Nick, it’s time to make our lists and check them twice. Luckily, Geneva has plenty of options to make that easy for us, so we can kick back with some cocoa.
Nobody does the holiday season better than Geneva. While strolling our beautiful downtown streets or enjoying the variety of shops at Geneva Commons or on Randall Road, you are sure to find unique one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on your list- and maybe a little something for yourself as well. (Go ahead, I won’t tell. Wink, wink) Many merchants are offering special events this month-check our calendar at genevachamber.com.
If you can’t decide what to get that hard-to-shop for person on your list, a Geneva gift certificate is always the perfect gift. Accepted at more than 160 shops and restaurants all around town, purchase these at the Chamber office at 8 S. Third St. or online at genevachamber.com.
Wave to Santa from 10-10:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 21 while he rides the carriage down Third Street. You too can take a carriage ride! The Geneva Chamber of Commerce is offering complimentary rides Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 22 from 10:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. The rides begin and end at the corner of S. Third and James streets.
Didn’t snag an appointment to whisper Santa your wishes? You can leave him a letter at his post office on the courthouse lawn by Dec. 22, and Santa will write back to you before he returns to the North Pole.
We hope that you enjoy this holiday season to the fullest. Our wish is that you view magic unfolding through the eyes of a child, experience the warmth of dear friends, and sleep like a teenager returning to their childhood bedroom. We thank you for supporting our community this year and are looking forward to making new memories together in 2025!
