CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Another Charlotte native is headed to the Super Bowl.
Former Mallard Creek star offensive lineman and Kansas City Chief D.J. Humphries will be in New Orleans as the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 9 in Super Bowl LIX.
Humphries joined the Chiefs in November after being released by the Arizona Cardinals during the 2024 offseason.
The former Mallard Creek star was drafted No. 24 by the Cardinals in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida.
Humphries started one game against the Los Angeles Chargers before injuring his hamstring.
Humphries joins Eagles former local high school stars Will Shipley, Jordan Davis, and Landon Dickerson in the Super Bowl.
