A former Nebraska wide receiver explained his decision to transfer. Jaylen Lloyd has joined the Oklahoma State Cowboys for the 2025 season.
He announced his intention to transfer just before the new year. Lloyd explained his decision to transfer to Oklahoma State to Matt Sottile of KETV Channel 7.
“I just didn’t get a lot of opportunity, and I felt like it wasn’t going to get any better. I really like Dana and Daikiel. They are very good coaches, but at that point in the season, it was a little bit late. I was battling injuries, and then I had a sickness and couldn’t make an impression on Dana and Daikiel.”
The sophomore wideout caught 13 passes for 255 yards during the 2024 season. He recorded 19 receptions for 492 yards and three touchdowns in his Nebraska career.
Lloyd is the most recent receiver to leave via the transfer portal. The Huskers have also seen the departures of Isaiah Neyor and Malachi Coleman.
