LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A former Husker football player was arrested in Stanton County on Friday.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office contacted the driver of a vehicle, 23-year-old Zavier Betts of LaVista, on Highway 15 northeast of Pilger. Betts’ vehicle had reportedly sustained a flat tire.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Betts was found to have a suspended driver’s license and also was wanted on a probation warrant, with no bond, out of Woodbury County, Iowa.
Betts was placed under arrest and jailed pending an extradition hearing back to Iowa.
Zavier Betts left the Huskers in August of 2023.
