TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A former high school girls basketball coach has been charged with two misdemeanors after allegedly exposing himself at a Twin Falls Adam and Eve store.
The Twin Falls Police Department charged Cody Powers with one count of indecent exposure and one count of disturbing the peace, according to court documents. Powers was the head coach of the Declo High School girls varsity basketball team for between 2022 and 2024. He was also the head coach for Raft River High School for 7 seasons prior.
The Twin Falls Police Department responded to the store along Blue Lakes Boulevard North around noon on May 11, 2024, according to court documents. Police identified the suspect as Powers through his Magic Valley Basketball Club shirt, according to court documents. Powers allegedly admitted to performing the acts during an interview with police.
Powers is scheduled to appear in a pre-trial conference on Oct. 1 at the Twin Falls County Magistrate Court.
Cassia County School District has no comment on the incident but said that Powers is no longer employed by the district.
