(WIFR) – Former Boylan Catholic High School basketball player Joe Tulley died Wednesday, Sept. 18.
A GoFundMe was set up by his sister, Erin Tulley, to support his wife, Rachel Magann-Tulley, and twin daughters, Brooklyn and Susan.
Joe Tulley was born in Rockford, Illinois and played basketball at Boylan Catholic High School. During his time as a Titan, Tulley was a dominant scorer. He was a captain and starter of an All-State team.
After graduating, Tulley went to DePaul University on a full-ride scholarship. He played for the Blue Demons from 1999 to 2003 and served as the captain of the team during the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons. After he graduated, he was named the director of basketball operations at DePaul.
Tulley lived in Henderson, Nevada with his family where he owned and operated a packing distribution company. Memorial services are planned for November 16, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A cause of death has not been made public.
