Mike Norvell and Ron Dugans pulled off a shocker this summer when they landed the commitment of Malik Clark, a blue-chip wide receiver from South Carolina. Today, they lost that commitment in more bad news from the recruiting trail for Florida State.
Clark’s pledge to FSU originally came as a surprise to many recruiting analysts who had him projected to stay home at South Carolina or land with UNC. Those two schools, along with plenty of others, will now try to add the 4-star prospect to their ranks at FSU’s expense.
The 6’3’’ 185-pound receiver caught 46 passes for 800 yards and nine touchdowns during his junior season. He also ran track, ending his season with a blazing 10.62 100-meter time. He has a great combination of size and speed that many staffs covet and will be a hot name to watch moving forward.
