Fight childhood hunger while grocery shopping at Smith’s
KUTV — This year, Smiths Food & Drug is proud to sponsor the KUTV Souper Bowl of Caring 2025, a community-wide effort to tackle child hunger in Utah.
With one in seven Utah children facing food insecurity, this campaign shines a spotlight on the vital issue of ensuring no child goes hungry.
Tina Murray spoke with Kari Hawker-Diaz about this years involvement with this initiative and more.
For many Utah children, their only meal of the day comes from the free breakfast or lunch provided at school. Over weekends and school breaks, thousands of kids struggle to find their next meal. With just $10, you can feed a child for an entire weekend, offering both nourishment and hope.
