USC football is picking up major momentum on the 2025 recruiting trail with a second weekend commitment, this one from three-star Jenks (OK) defensive lineman Cash Jacobsen on Sunday.
Jacobsen is the second commitment off of USC’s Nebraska win on Saturday, joining five-star Corona (Calif.) quarterback Husan Longstreet, who committed earlier in the day. Jacobsen is the third defensive linemen in the 2025 class with three-star Texas prospect Gus Cordova and three-star Florida prospect Floyd Boucard.

WHO ELSE WAS IN THE MIX?
Several months ago, Jacobsen was a little-known prospect among major programs, holding offers from the likes of Navy, Army, Pittsburgh State and South Dakota State. Jacobsen initially committed to South Dakota State over the summer but backed off his pledge in the fall once he started picking up interest from bigger schools like Texas Tech, Boise State, San Diego State, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Oklahoma and USC. The home state school Oklahoma was seen as the major contender for his commitment.

WHERE CASH JACOBSEN FITS WITH USC
Defensive line was a major need for USC in this cycle and Jacobsen helps when it comes to the future of the interior. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Jacobsen brings impressive size to the front but has the versatility to play multiple spots along the defensive line; Jacobsen played both edge and one-tech during his junior season. Jacobsen began his recruitment as a strong-side defensive end but has grown into an interior defensive line prospect. He gives USC another interior defensive lineman with Boucard, who projects as a three-technique defender.
Jacobsen’s strength and motor jump on tape, especially mixed with some athleticism relative to his 290-pound frame. Jacobsen is a multi-sport athlete, also playing lacrosse for Jenks High School.
WHERE CASH JACOBSEN RANKS AS A RECRUIT
Jacobsen is rated the No. 61 defensive line prospect and the No. 13 recruit out of the state in the 247Sports rankings. He is the No. 1,357 overall prospect and the No. 149 defensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite.
