Kickers were off to a hot start through the first month of the season and did not slow down in Week 5. Four different kickers had multiple field goals of 50-plus yards. All four of them scored at least 15 fantasy points.
It’s getting to the point where the NFL may have to discuss making kicking harder in some way. Perhaps tighten up the goalposts? Either way, this is just a compliment to the talent of kickers in the NFL right now.
The kicking discussion is reserved for the offseason, but the 2024 fantasy season is still in full swing. We’re going to have to get a kicker in our lineups every week, and the Sporting News has you covered with rankings for all 28 kickers who will take the field in Week 6.

There is a shootout brewing in Dallas this week which is very promising for the fantasy outlook of the kickers involved. Both Jake Bates and Brandon Aubrey have the chance to take advantage of a game that should produce fireworks. Both are very easy starts in Week 6.
Younghoe Koo is also in a very good spot this week. Kirk Cousins has made strides in recent weeks and has the Atlanta offense looking like a high-end unit that many had expected they would be. Koo is 12-14 on field goals this season and has the chance to tack onto his total against a struggling Panthers defense.
Ka’imi Fairbairn comes in as our K2 this week. He’s already the K4 on the season and a matchup with the Patriots further elevates his outlook. C.J. Stroud and company should make quick work of New England’s secondary, providing Fairbairn with multiple field goal attempts in the process.
When it comes to kickers, unless you feel super strongly about not dropping a Brandon Aubrey, we don’t recommend holding anyone. When it’s their bye week, cut bait, pick up another option, and hope you can get them back the following week. Given that guidance, we’ll just list the players on bye from each team.
Kansas City Chiefs: Harrison Butker
Miami Dolphins: Jason Sanders
Minnesota Vikings: Will Reichard
Los Angeles Rams: Joshua Carty
Tampa Bay kicker Chase McLaughlin needs to be rostered in nearly every fantasy league and should be viewed as a weekly starter. McLaughlin has scored double-digit fantasy points in four of five games this season and finished as a top-10 kicker in each of those contests. He’s attached to an offense that is capable of scoring 30 points in any given week. This will allow him to deliver fairly consistent fantasy production.
Rookie Brayden Narveson is in a great spot this week. Narveson has scored 11-plus points in three of five career games and is in line to make it a fourth this week. With Jordan Love back under center, the Green Bay offense is humming and Narveson has benefitted. Love shouldn’t have an issue picking apart a struggling Arizona defense and Narveson should remain a beneficiary, along with the Green Bay receivers.
And while he’s not a sleeper, note that Jake Moody went down with an ankle injury in San Francisco’s surprising loss to the Cardinals. He was seen in a walking boot after the game, but his status for Week 6 is uncertain. We’re leaving him ranked for now, but that could change, so check back often if he’s on your team to know whether you’ll need contingency plans.
