NFL Week 2 picks, predictions and best bets
USA TODAY Sports’ Lorenzo Reyes is back with his NFL best bets for week 2 games of the NFL season.
Rarely do kickers make a big difference in fantasy football. (In fact, some leagues have banned kickers from their player pool.)
But, with offenses bogging down in Week 1, several kickers came up big. Both Chris Boswell of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jake Moody of the San Francisco 49ers went 6-for-6 on their field goal attempts, with Boswell connecting on three of those from beyond 50 yards. Seven other kickers converted at least three of their field goal tries.
Based on what we saw in the first week of games, kickers are definitely going to impact fantasy matchups this season. So make sure you’re starting one of the top ones.
