Ericsson has announced that its radio access network (RAN) and microwave transmission solutions have been chosen by Ooredoo Qatar to improve its network performance in Qatar.
The partnership also covers the deployment of a new 5G network in the 2.3 GHz band, the annual addition of new sites and the modernization of power systems.
Ericsson will supply advanced equipment, including Massive MIMO radios and high-bandwidth microwave solutions.
The agreement also includes the refarming of 3G spectrum and the introduction of NR 700 to optimize coverage. This collaboration aims to enhance the 5G experience and develop new services for enterprises.
