TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The founding city of Veterans’ Day is again taking a swing at an event to support veterans.
Jesse Solis visited Eye on NE Kansas to share details of their 22nd annual All Veterans’ Golf Tournament.
The event is a four-person scramble. It’s held at Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
Jesse said Emporia is proud of its veterans, as well as its unique place in encouraging people to recognize veterans and their service.
Jesse said money raised from the golf tournament will go to local organizations to support veterans’ needs.
The All Veterans’ Golf Tournament will take place Sept. 7. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a 9 a.m. Cost is $70 per person ($50 for golf course annual members) and includes lunch.
