Former commando Gregg Stevenson, from Foulridge, lost both legs to an IED in Afghanistan.
He went on to achieve gold in the Paris Paralympics, partnering with Lauren Rowles in the PR2 mixed double sculls.
His victory was recognised with an MBE in the 2025 New Year Honours list for services to rowing.
The golf course, in Skipton, is familiar territory for Mr Stevenson, who regularly participates in the On Course Foundation charity day.
The event, organised by Ilkley businessman and member David Rasche, sees service personnel and veterans compete.
Mr Stevenson was one of 15 who participated in the 13th annual event last September, which raised £20,000, contributing to a total of £300,000 raised over the years.
Following the latest fundraiser, the Skipton Golf Club board acknowledged the role of golf in Mr Stevenson’s recovery journey.
They unanimously agreed to offer him honorary membership, recognising him as a local Paralympic gold medallist and talented golfer.
This privilege grants full playing rights to compete in all competitions, and complete access to the course and clubhouse.
The club also hopes Mr Stevenson will become an ambassador.
Skipton Golf Club chairman Ian Sewell said: “Golf had been integral to Gregg’s pathway to recovery and unanimously agreed to offer him honorary membership as our local Paralympic gold medallist and with the assurance that he also plays a mean game of golf.”
Mr Stevenson was delighted to accept the honour, saying: “I am thrilled at the opportunity to become an honorary member at Skipton and would be delighted to champion the club whenever possible.”
