ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) – An East Ascension football player suffered a medical emergency during a football game, according to school officials.
The emergency happened during a freshman game between East Ascension and St. Amant High School.
Ascension Parish Public Schools officials said the player was transported.
The football game was paused and then called. The JV game that was scheduled to follow was canceled.
