Ben Raine has agreed a new three-year contract to remain with Durham until the end of the 2027 county season.
Sunderland-born Raine came through Durham’s academy before a spell at Leicestershire and a return to Chester-le-Street in 2019.
The seam-bowling all-rounder was the leading wicket-taker in Division Two in 2023 with 60 as Durham won the title.
Raine backed that up last summer, averaging 31 with the bat and just under 30 with the ball as the club finished fifth on their top-flight return.
“I am thrilled to be offered the opportunity to extend my career here at Durham,” he told the club’s website, external.
“The club’s in a great place and the opportunity to enjoy the final few years of my career at my home club with some great people is an absolute honour.”
