UNC basketball coach Hubert Davis talks Hawaii trip, Maui Invitational
Ahead of UNC basketball’s trip to Hawaii, head coach Hubert Davis previewed the Tar Heels’ trip to Hawaii, which includes the Maui Invitational.
Duke basketball and UNC basketball remain among the top-25 teams in the rankings ahead of the third week of the college hoops season.
The 10th-ranked Blue Devils (3-1) dropped four spots in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll after their Champions Classic loss to Kentucky (3-0), which moved up seven spots to No. 11 in the coaches poll. Duke heads to No. 17 Arizona (2-1) on Friday (10:30 p.m., ESPN2) before playing top-ranked Kansas (4-0) on Nov. 26 in Las Vegas
Meanwhile, the 12th-ranked Tar Heels lost one spot, moving just outside of the top 10 after its one-game week. UNC beat American in a blowout victory on Nov. 15. UNC heads to Hawaii to play the Rainbow Warriors on Friday (12:30 a.m., ESPN2) before playing Dayton on Nov. 25 (11:30 p.m., ESPN2), on the opening day of the Maui Invitational.
