Dubai Desert Classic adds mental fitness zone for golfers | CNN
In May, PGA Tour player Grayson Murray took his own life, hours after withdrawing from a tournament in Texas. The incident shook the sport, highlighting the mental health challenges facing some of the world’s top players. The Dubai Desert Classic, a DP World Tour tournament, is pioneering a new approach to support players during the tournament week with a Mental Fitness Zone on site, equipped with professional psychiatrists, sleep pods, relaxation rooms and VR headsets to support mental recovery during the event.
