DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – Registration for spring sports with Dothan Leisure Services are now open.
This season will include youth basketball for ages 13-14, youth softball for ages 5 to 15, and youth track for 7 to 14-year-olds.
Registration is $40 for each child. Discounts are available for children enrolled with Medicaid. First-time participants will need to upload a birth certificate and proof of insurance to register.
Non-Dothan residents are able to register for a Dothan sport if their city doesn’t offer that sport and Dothan is the closest place that does.
For those between the ages of 5 and 12 looking to play youth baseball, your recreation zone’s ward will offer registration until January 31.
Participants in the Westgate recreation zone will register with Dothan National League at this website. Registration is $75 for the first child and $30 for each additional child.
Those in the James Oates Park recreation zone will register for Dothan American League at this website. The cost is $75 for the first child and $45 for each additional child.
Registration for spring sports is open until January 19.
