The Qatari capital Doha hosted ministerial-level discussions Sunday between Turkiye and Qatar focusing on ways to enhance their integrated partnership.
Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani met with Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, according to the official Qatar News Agency (QNA).
During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest and explored frameworks for strengthening industrial partnerships in the coming period, the agency reported.
The meeting was part of a series of bilateral discussions held by Al-Thani, with ministers participating in the fifth meeting of the Higher Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development in Doha on Sunday.
The discussions covered shared interests and strategies for advancing industrial cooperation among member states, according to QNA.
On Sunday, Turkiye and Qatar officially joined the Higher Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development, increasing the number of member states to seven alongside the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco.
Launched in 2022, the partnership aims to enhance industrial integration, strengthen cooperation among its members, and build a resilient, competitive and sustainable economy.
