ORLANDO, Fla. – Hard Rock Bet, Florida’s only legal online sportsbook, went online in December 2023.
Since then, News 6 has learned that calls for problem-gambling in the Sunshine State have grown drastically.
The Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling said that since the app went live, it has received 47,119 calls to its helpline. The previous high in one year was 26,230 in 2023. Data also shows that 77% of bettors in Florida were 21 to 40 years old.
