WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Dickinson men’s golf team was back on the links Saturday afternoon taking part in Day One of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Invite hosted by both Gettysburg College and McDaniel College at Waynesboro Country Club.
The lowest Devil on the day was Collin McMahon-Shea who fired a two-under 70 on 6553-yard, par 72 course to sit four shots off the individual lead in a five-way tie for sixth. Will Griffith posted 78, while Ryan Wheeler carded an 80. Carl Williams finished with 83, followed by Jackson Guy who entered the 19th-hole at 87.
Phelps Wong from Swarthmore College paces the large field for the individual title after firing a 66. Gettysburg “A” heads up the 19 team field with a score of one under par, followed in the Top-10 by Franklin & Marshall and Swarthmore (+3), McDaniel and Shenandoah (+5), Randolph-Macon (+7), York (Pa.) (+10), Alvernia (+12) and Gettysburg “B” (+15). Dickinson sits in 15th place with one day to go after finishing at +23.
