Grade 1 winner Gaming drilled at Santa Anita Friday morning. The Bob Baffert trainee covered six furlongs on dirt in 1:12.6. Coming back from an eighth-place finish in the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes on Jan. 25, he is expected to return next Saturday in the Virginia Derby at Colonial Downs.
Gaming was 40-1 at Caesars Sportsbook in Las Vegas as of Wednesday morning, lengthening from 35-1 the week before.

Built (Hard Spun) worked five furlongs in 1:03.8 at Fair Grounds on Friday morning. It was the 30th fastest of 33 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Fair Grounds. In his last start he placed third in the Risen Star (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on Feb. 15 for trainer Wayne Catalano.
Gaming (Game Winner), a Grade 1 winner (2024 Del Mar Futurity), worked six furlongs in 1:12.6 at Santa Anita on Friday morning. It was the faster of two works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going six furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start he placed eighth in the Southwest (G3) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on Jan. 25 for trainer Bob Baffert.
Smoken Wicked (Bobby’s Wicked One) worked four furlongs in 50.2 seconds at Fair Grounds on Friday morning. It was the 85th fastest of 111 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed 13th in the Rebel (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on Feb. 23 for trainer Dallas Stewart.
Vassimo (Nyquist) worked four furlongs in 50.3 seconds at Palm Beach Downs on Friday morning. It was the ninth fastest of 12 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed fourth in the Risen Star (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on Feb. 15 for trainer Todd Pletcher.
