Day One of the ASH Basketball Tournament
ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Nine Cenla teams faced off in the ASH Trojans’ Holiday Tournament.
Ouachita Christian vs Jena
Starting off the day, the Jena Giants took on Ouachita Christian. The Giants head the lead going into the half winning 21 to 19, but the Eagles would come back in the second half beating Jena 41-50.
Ruston vs Montgomery
The second game of the day was the Montgomery girls tipping off with the Ruston Bobcats. Ruston would control this one from the start, going on a 15-0 run in the first quarter. Montgomery would fall to Ruston 26-59.
Menard vs St. Mary’s
The third game was a Cenla on Cenla battle between the Menard Eagles and the St. Mary’s Tigers. The Eagles would have the lead 21-33 going into the half. The tigers would try to make a comeback in the second half, but Menard would have the lead at the buzzer, beating St. Mary’s 66-54.
