LARCHWOOD, IA (Dakota News Now) -Monday was day one of the USF Golf Invite at The Falls Golf Course at Grand Falls in Larchwood, IA.
The host team USF and Augustana had strong showings on Monday.
Wayne State has a 3 shot lead over USF and 7 over Augustana on the women’s side. Shannon McCormick of the Vikings is in 3rd place after a 75 and Maggie Veenendal of USF is one shot back. The leader is at even par 72.
In the men’s division, Winona State is 6 under par and has the lead. Augustana is +3 and in 2nd place. USF is in 5th after carding a +14 team score.
Will Allen of Augie was the best local player at 1 under par 71. 3 players are tied for the lead at -4.
Play concludes with a shotgun start on Tuesday.
