Italy will host the Davis Cup Finals from 2025 until 2028. The International Tennis Federation, (ITF) which runs the event, confirmed the defending champion as the host nation at the draw for the 2025 qualifiers in London this afternoon, Monday December 2.
Bologna will host the 2025 Davis Cup Finals, an eight-team event which is also referred to as the ‘Final 8’; Milan and Turin, the latter of which has hosted the ATP Tour Finals since 2021, are vying for future years.
Malaga had hosted the event since 2022, with its final edition also heralding Rafael Nadal’s retirement from tennis.
Italy also won the Billie Jean King Cup event in the same city, with two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini propelling her country to a 2-0 victory over Slovakia in the final. Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini won their singles rubbers to beat the Netherlands by the same margin in the Davis Cup final, with world No. 1 Sinner having won the ATP Tour Finals in Turin the previous week.
No deal has been agreed for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, despite this year being the first to unite the two competitions in the same city. Seville hosted the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in 2023 and was supposed to in 2024, before it relocated to Malaga at the request of Andalusia’s regional government.
