India beat Togo 4-0 in the play-offs to qualify for the World Group I in February. Switzerland, on the other hand, will face India after losing 3-1 against Spain last month.
World Group I for the 2025 Davis Cup features 26 teams, comprising 13 nations that fell short in the 2025 Qualifiers 1st Round and the 13 victorious countries from the 2025 World Group I play-offs.
The winner of the India vs Switzerland tie will advance to the 2026 Qualifiers 1st Round and keep their Davis Cup hopes alive, while the losing nation will be relegated to the 2026 World Group I play-offs.
All ties in the Qualifiers 2nd Round, World Group I and World Group II will follow a best-of-five format.
The opening day of the tie will see two singles matches followed by the doubles match and two reverse singles on the second day. Every match will be played as best-of-three tiebreak sets.
