OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – The Belmont women’s golf team is in fourth place as darkness suspended play Monday at Huntsville.org Intercollegiate held at RTJ Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
With three to five holes remaining in their second round, Belmont is in fourth place at +25. Troy has the team lead at +15, with North Alabama in second at +18 and host Samford in third at +20.
Three Bruins are among the top-13 through the end of play on Monday. Junior Chloe Tarkany is tied for sixth place at +3. She is four shots back of the individual leader, Samford’s Gabi Nicastro (-1).
Senior Eva Graham is two shots back of Tarkany and in a tie for 11th place at +5. Freshman Sloane Biddle is tied for 13th place at +6.
Fellow freshman Harper Edwards is tied for 31st place at +11, while sophomore Paige Hammarstrom is tied for 52nd place at +21.
The second round will be restarted at 8:00am CT Tuesday morning. Once completed, the field will start their third and final round.
